This summer was a great summer for science fiction lovers and action movie lovers! A lot of great and awesome movies with star casts came out this summer. Now that they are out on DVD, they will make a great time for the holiday season! So get out your popcorn and let’s watch some movies!
10 Jurassic World
Why it's awesome A new sequel to the Jurassic Park series, the Jurassic World title is a little deceptive, since it isn't the whole world but actually a theme park like "Disney World" for dinosaurs. Still, the movie stays true to its name and is just as good as the other Jurassic Park movies. I hope you don't have nightmares of dinosaurs!
9 San Andreas
Why it's awesome Not to be confused with the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas video games, this action thriller stars The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) and follows the aftermath of a major earthquake along the San Andreas fault line in Los Angeles, California. What's more interesting is that this is really going to happen, any day now (but hopefully not for another century or two!).

8 Tomorrowland
Why it's awesome George Clooney stars in this scifi fantasy taking you into the future and the past on a family-fun adventure through time.
7 Fantastic Four
Why it's awesome Finally, a full ten years after the previous one that had cool special effects but wasn't that great of a movie (the 2005 movie was okay), Fantastic Four is back with a new reboot that hopefully will leave you in awe!
6 Self/Less
Why it's awesome Ben Kingsley has really made a name for himself on screen, in fact I want to see this movie just because he's in it, because he is such an impressive actor. He has also won some Oscars. Self/less is a mystery drama and I am so excited to see it! Ryan Reynolds is in here too playing the protagonist, so even for the cast alone, this movie is definitely worth watching!
5 Ant Man
Why it's awesome Ant Man isn't about ants, it's about a guy who makes a suit that shrinks him down to the size of an ant! And, because of his new proportions, he now has super strength (relative to his size) and can jump super high, kind of like having powers that is completely scientifically plausible!
(Update: After watching, Star Trek is more scientifically plausible, the science in this movie is a stretch at best; however, it is definitely worth watching! Excellent movie. "Ant" there are lots of ants!)

4 The Martian
Why it's awesome Matt Damon takes on outer space again, this time on Mars in this absolutely fantastic scifi movie, The Martian. Let's keep the description short so it keeps the mystery alive! (No pun intended?) Meanwhile, take this quiz to find out if you will survive on Mars!
3 Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
Why it's awesome Tom Cruise is back in another thrilling action packed mind-bending twisted awesome Mission Impossible movie. If you want things blowing up and catching on fire and going fast, you will get it here in this fifth Mission Impossible movie!
2 Avengers: Age of Ultron
Why it's awesome Saw this one in the theaters, it was awesome! Marvel is truly living up to the hype for those who are Marvel fans. This movie does not disappoint, living up to all you dreamed it would be. It is wonderful to be living in the age of CGI - er - ahem, Ultron!
1 Terminator Genisys
Why it's awesome With Emilia Clarke playing Sarah Connor, who played Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, and the real Arnold Schwarzenegger making his first debut back after leaving the governor's throne in California, the Terminator is back in Terminator Genisys!
Let me know if you liked this list and if you know of some other great movies that were released in Summer 2015!
