TechReader is looking for a content writer/editor who is highly experienced and can write a minimum of 5 high-quality articles per week at minimum 2,500 quality words per article. Expectation is 20-30 hours per week.

Part-time salary starts at $30,000/year ($30/hr) and increases via regular pay raises after 90 days to $125,000/year ($125/hr) dependent on performance. Pay is based on article quantity and quality, not word count. Bonuses for high-performing articles.

TechReader is looking for a part-time writer/editor who is highly experienced and can write 5 high-quality articles per week at about 2,500 words per article. It will take approximately 4 hours each day to write, edit, and publish this article, dependent on your writing speed and computer skills. Pay is based on 20-30 hours per week.

TechReader is a website that focuses on new technology, up and coming technology, innovative technology, and other related topics including web security, tech trends, top 10 devices and gadgets, entrepreneur & business (especially tech-related), science, and some travel, such as the best places to live. You have the freedom to choose which topics that are relevant to the site to write on.

Your part-time salary will start at 30,000 ($30/hr). If your quality of writing is excellent, then you will receive pay raises up to a salary of 125,000 per year ($125/hr). You will start off as an independent contractor, but with the opportunity to be hired as a full employee within 6 months.

This position is somewhat performance-driven, as pay raises will be based on the metrics and performance of the articles you write. If you want a life-changing salary and the ability to work from home, then it is within your hands to do so, as it is contingent on the quality of your writing.

As the site continues to grow, we will hire more writers, so there is also the opportunity for advancement at this company, such as the ability take on roles such as an editor, or managing, or hiring new writers and employees, with pay to match any responsibilities.

A formal education or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a private university (but ideally not a public university) would be a plus, but is not required if you have the necessary skills and experience.

A background in working from home for a company is ideal. Working from home requires a great deal of discipline, and an environment free of distractions. If you cannot work without distractions, then this role is not for you.

Ideally, you have published articles on your own already, either for another company, or for your own personal blog or website. If you do not have any published articles, you will be expected to provide a sample of your work in order to gauge the quality of your writing.


You will be expected to write and publish 1-2 new high-quality articles per day, for a total of 2,500 words per day (about 1,250 to 2,500 words per article). This includes the research, writing, editing, and finding images and formatting the post professionally.

We have a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism and dishonesty. Copy and paste or verbatim quote from another author without credit will result in immediate termination and possible damages. Do not apply if you are not honest.


This role is fully 100% remote, work from home. It does have flexible hours, as in you are not required to work standard hours. However, you cannot work on Friday nights (after dark) or Saturdays. You also must choose a consistent schedule. It must be consistent week over week, you will be expected to adhere to it. Changes to your work schedule must be approved by your manager.

You will never be expected to do unpaid work or work overtime.

You will get all national holidays as paid time off. Christmas Eve, Christmas, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Easter, 4th of July, etc. for a total of 10 paid holidays per year (2 weeks pay). If the holiday falls on a weekend, you still get a full day’s holiday pay.

In addition, you will get two more weeks (10 days) paid time off (PTO) per year, which will accrue on a daily basis. You will also have up to 2 weeks (10 days) unpaid sick days per year. With holidays, you have up to 6 weeks off per year, including 4 weeks of total paid time off.

You can receive bonuses, holiday bonuses, and additional perks for stellar performance, at the discretion of your manager.

If hired as a full time employee after 6 months, then you have the opportunity to receive benefits for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. There is also a potential for a 401K plan at your discretion.

After 6 months of good performance, you will also receive a new company laptop valued around $2,000.

Additionally, you may be eligible to receive training and development, and continuing education benefits such as tuition reimbursement, after the first 12 months.
